Canada-China Friendship Society is proud to launch the 3rd Annual Ottawa Canada-China Film Festival.
In 2017 we started our annual event with 3 films at the Canadian Museum of Nature with plans to grow the annual Film Festival into a more significant event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Canada-China Diplomatic Relations in 2020.
The Ottawa Canada-China Film Festival is a volunteer-led celebration of Canada and China relations and is dedicated to helping Canadians become better informed about China–its past, its current achievements and challenges, and what the future may hold

The Film Selection Committee’s goal was to find the “best of” international or Chinese films. We were also looking for an element of Canada.
We identified over 50 award winning films, and boiled down the list to 3 feature length films (2 documentaries and 1 drama) and Oscar winning short film.
Each film presents an inspiring, and compelling expression of the human condition that will let Canadians discover China one film at a time.
After each film there will be additional opportunities to explore the films such as on-line discussion with the film makers.
