The annual banquet at the Mandarin Ogilvy restaurant was attend by 190 members and guests. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was David A. Burke, a former member of the Executive of the CCFS. He introduced Minister Counsellor of Culture, Li Dongwen who offered his congratulations on behalf of the Ambassador. Rosemary Thompson, Communications Director of the National Arts Centre spoke about the recent tour of China by the NAC Orchestra. She also extended greetings to persons born in the Year of the Horse and everyone was awarded a gift from the Embassy. Entertainment was provided by Dominic D’Arcy and Natalie Harrison. There was also a silent auction to raise money for the CCFS. David Burke thanked the sponsors which included T&T Supermarket, World of Tea, Penny’s Pearls, McGarry Family Chapel, along with Mandarin Ogilvie Restaurant and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
